I work for Amazon as a delivery driver and I was doing my delivery route at about 7 p.m. on May 13th In Bensenville, Illinois on Center Street just south of West Green Street. I had just finished dropping off a couple of boxes at a residence and was walking back to my van when I heard a chirping sound followed by a series of clicks that came in quick succession. I thought at first that it sounded like a woodpecker and that is what I dismissed it as until I heard the same sequence again and it sounded like it was coming from behind me. I turned to look and heard the sound again, I looked toward the sound and I could not believe my eyes. There on top of the house next door was a tall thin winged person who was looking directly at me. It looked like a giant flying insect but must have been at least 6-7 feet tall. I initially jumped and as I watched it took off straight into the air and just flat out disappeared out of sight. I looked around hoping it had flown out into the trees but never saw it again. I walked back to my van and kept looking up hoping to see it again but did not and the rest of my route was uneventful.

I was out for a walk with my fiancé, enjoying the warm weather after so much cold. We were out by the basketball courts next to Tioga Elementary when we saw what looked like a large person standing ON TOP of the building that was behind the playground. It looked like a tall person wearing what looked like a cape. This person then jumped off the building and the cape turned out to be wings which it opened up and used to fly over us and out over the field and away. It was the damndest thing we had ever seen and really scary.

I had just got home from work on Thursday night at about 10:30 P.M. and had just got out of my car to head into the house on the *Redacted* in Bensenville, Illinois when I heard a strange chirping/clicking sound, it was almost dolphin-like. I stopped in my tracks and started to look around and that is when I saw this large bat fly over my house and yard. It was large with bright glowing red eyes and was thin, the wings were flapping slowly. It must have been at least 40 feet off the ground since it was easily above the house and trees in the neighborhood. I’ve seen bats before but this thing was far, far bigger. It was gone in a few seconds as it flew over my neighbors house and was swallowed up into the night. I had tried to get my phone out and take a picture of it but by the time I got it out of my coat and tried to take a picture it was gone and out of sight as it was flying pretty quickly away. I know I was not the only person who saw it as my neighbors across the street were also looking up at it as it flew over and even asked me the next morning if I had seen it and what I thought it was. I’ve lived here over 12 years and had never seen anything like it, even my husband was skeptical, saying maybe I saw a large goose or crane and the red eyes might have been the reflection of the street lights on the animals eyes. I’m certain of what I saw though.

I was at work Thursday night. I had just brought back a manlift from a construction site that we had picked up and brought back to the yard. I had just driven the manlift off of the trailer and was just about to get back into the truck to park it when I saw some movement from the back of the yard. I grabbed a flashlight and headed back toward the storage containers that are kept in the back. I saw something on top of the container and I shined the light on it and asked them what the hell they were doing back there and that I was about to call the police if they didn’t get out of there. I kept walking toward them and yelling when I heard a series of clicks, rapid-fire clicks and what sounded like chirping. I’m a bit of a history buff and back in WW2, U.S. troops used to carry these clickers called “crickets” that they used to communicate with one another. This sounded like these clickers only faster and louder, same pitch and tone.
I was about 12 feet from the containers, I looked up and was met with a pair of red eyes that were staring directly at me. These were attached to what looked like a tall being that must have been at least 6-7 feet tall and looked like a giant man-bat kind of thing. I lost my shit and started backing up while trying not to scream like a little girl. This man-bat was partially lit up by the lights we have around the yard. I tried to shine my flashlight on this thing and it started clicking at me and took off into the air. It took off toward the north. I practically ran back to the truck and got in and parked it. I swear to God, I sprinted toward my car, which was parked by the main building where it was lit up by the street lights. Thoughts of something swooping down to attack me were swirling around in my head. I got in my car and left, not stopping till I got home.
Investigators notes:
I reached out to the witness and they were initially hesitant to speak and asked me to call them back before I was able to convince him to speak with me in regards to his sighting. The witness works for an industrial rental company where they service and rent a wide variety of industrial equipment. The witness is a driver for the company and has been there for about 3 years, the witness describes his job as delivering and picking up various pieces of equipment. The witness stated that they had picked up a manlift ( portable piece of heavy equipment used to raise and lower people used for various construction projects) The witness had just arrived back at his employer and had just dropped off the equipment and was in the process of parking his semi and trailer when he saw the entity.
The witness stated that they had a row of transportation containers along the back that were used for storage purposes and it was there that he had seen movement and decided to investigate. The witness stated that he thought it was an intruder looking around the containers looking to steal tools or equipment. He stated that had reached into his truck and had pulled out a large Mag-lite flashlight which is a long flashlight with a sturdy metal handle that can be used as a baton. He stated that as he walked toward the containers he saw something standing on top of the containers and that as he got closer he noticed a pair of bright red eyes looking directly at him. He estimated the entity as standing about 6-7 feet tall and described it as a “Man-Bat” For reference purposes, Man-Bat is a supervillain appearing in comic books published by DC Comics. Introduced in Detective Comics #400 as an enemy of the superhero Batman. Phantoms and Monsters Fortean Research Team member Vincent Richardson did prepare sketches based on the witnesses description and they will be posted in the report below for reference purposes.
The witness did state that as he approached the containers he started to hear clicking coming from the direction of the entity. The witness described the clicking as sounding as coming from a WW2 era clicker, commonly referred to as a “cricket” by Ally soldiers. These devices were handheld brass clickers used by soldiers to communicate and identify each other during nighttime raids. They were most famously used by American Airborne soldiers of the 102nd Airborne division. The witness stated that the sound was similar in tone, only faster and louder and only got faster and louder as he approached the storage containers. As the witness approached the containers he stated that the entity stood up and took flight toward the north and was out of sight within seconds. The witness described running back to his truck and then after parking it, running to his car with an overwhelming feeling that something might swoop down and attack him. The witness stated even when he got home he could not shake the feeling and stayed in his car for 2-3 minutes before getting out and going home. The next day the witness did some research online where he found our contact information and submitted his report. The witness appeared to be sincere in his recounting of the events of that night and did not change any of his story and even corrected the investigator when he tried to purposely embellish the story. The next step will be field investigation and with the witnesses permission, that will be conducted at the earliest available opportunity.

Sighting Report:
We were at my niece’s birthday party and I joined some family members outside for a drink and to smoke a cigarette. We were standing behind the garage when my cousin got everyone’s attention and pointed toward the neighbors garage. There on top of the garage was what looked like a really thin man, except he was hunched over and had extremely long arms, freakishly long arms that he was propping himself up with. He stood there hunched over on his knuckles looking at us with these bright red glowy eyes that did not blink. He had a pair of large wings that seemed to come out from his back and were slowly moving, they looked like he was slowly moving them up and down while he stood there looking at us. We were about 50-60 feet away from this thing but we could still see it from where we were standing. He shifted up and down, almost like he was examining us and trying to figure out who or what we were, as curious about us as we were of him. There were seven of us out there and all of us had a good view of this thing as it stood there on top of the next door neighbor’s garage. My two younger female cousins were saying they were scared of this, calling it a demon. Their dad, my uncle kept telling them that they were going to be ok as long as they stayed by him and the group. It stood there looking at us for what seemed like 30 seconds before it started flapping its wings, and jumped off the garage and flew away. It looked extremely tall and thin, like it was all skin and bones and weighed less than I did. I’m petite, like half the size of my cousins and used to get teased about it growing up but this creature looked like it was even thinner than I was. It looked like a tall version of those starving children that you see on the news every once in a while. It was greyish black, and had a head that looked like it was shaped kind of like a praying mantis, except it had glowing red eyes that never blinked, not even once. When it jumped off the garage roof, it made my cousins and even my uncle scream as it flew off and over the trees in the backyard of my grandmother’s house and it was gone. I know we had been drinking during the party but no one was drunk, not even tipsy and I know we all saw the same thing, which means unless we were all seeing things, this thing was really there.
When we went inside and told the others, my mother and grandmother both thought we were all joking but when they saw that we were all scared and that we were all saying the same thing, they started to believe us. My grandmother and grandfather both said that it could have been a lechusa and that we were lucky nothing happened to us. I’m not sure that what we saw was a lechusa but when I got home I did research and then sent my family members screen shots and links to the sightings.

Investigators notes: I made contact with the reporting witness who stated that she had joined her uncle and her cousins outside while they were sharing drinks and smoking. The witness said everything seemed ok at first and that they were all enjoying the night together and celebrating her niece’s birthday party. The witness said her 18 year old cousin was the first one to see the entity and at first thought it was just a random person, perhaps the neighbor standing on the roof of his garage, which she said seemed strange at 11 o’clock at night. The cousin got everyone’s attention and they all began to look at it. They described the entity as thin and very tall, which they estimated to be about 6-7 feet tall and had a pair of wings coming out of its back. The witness told me that they were all just standing there watching this when her two younger cousins (ages 10-12) began to get scared and wanted to go inside. The creature then leapt off the garage, spreading its wings and flew off into the night.
I spoke with a number of the witnesses including the uncle (age 49) three of the cousins (ages 18, 22 and 27) all of them told the same story. All of the stories were similar in nature and all described the entity as thin, tall and with a pair of wings coming out of its back. I also made contact with three other witnesses and they refused to corporate in the investigation, many of them citing that they were not going to provoke a lechuza for fear of reprisals. This has been a common theme in many Hispanic communities, fear that speaking about or bringing up your experiences would somehow invoke the entity and bring with it retribution for speaking of their encounters. The investigation is ongoing and any further information will be posted on the website.
I was out driving around with a guy I had just started talking to. We were out by the airport just cruising around, listening to music and getting to know one another. We decided to park to smoke some bud and one thing led to another. We were in the backseat when he looked up and started screaming “What the fuck!” over and over again. It was then that we felt like something bumped into the side of the car, like when someone slammed up on the side of your ride. I sat up and saw a pair of bright red eyes and a big black body looking into the drivers side window into the backseat. It scared the hell out of both of us and we both started screaming out loud, this thing kept looking into the car and then it just disappeared. A security guard shows up, then two more show up, they made us get out of the car and started asking us why we are there but after looking at us they start asking about what we had seen, we told them and they screamed at us to get dressed and leave.
Investigators Notes:
I contacted the witness via email and after much assurance, she agreed to an interview over the phone. I called and spoke with her regarding her sighting. The witness is a 20 year old Hispanic female and her companion was 26 years old and also of Hispanic descent. The witness said they were out driving around and had decided to stop at a construction site near the airport to talk and smoke marijuana. The witness said it was about 10 p.m. and that there was no one around at the site. They parked near the entrance but out of the way so as not to be seen by any law enforcement. For the witness’s sake, I asked her to please skip the details and to please just stick to the sighting itself. She described the entity as being tall and thinly built with bright red eyes that were “glowing”. She described feeling the car move as if someone had slammed against the side of it followed by her partner starting to scream. The witness described the entity as bending down to peer into the window and from the brief glimpse she saw of it when she sat up, described it as owl-like. Her partner told her that it looked like it ‘s eyes were set into the entity’s shoulders. The witness stated that the creature was gone within a few seconds and that almost immediately the security guards arrived. When asked how long from the creature leaving to the security guards arrival, the witness said that she was certain the guards had to have seen the creature taking off as they arrived.
When asked about the security guards, she said they told them to get out of their car, seeing the state of the witnesses, they asked them why they were there and what they had seen. The guards questioned them for a few minutes, took their information and then told them to finish getting dressed and leave immediately. She said they were both told that the next time they were seen at this site, they would be arrested immediately. The witnesses left and she was dropped off at home. When asked about the second witness’s contact information, the reporting witness said he did not wish to be contacted and that they had talked only a few times after that but had not gone out again. The witness then expressed her desire to conclude the interview and I thanked her for her time.
The construction site where the sighting happened is on highway 72 and an investigator will be dispatched to conduct a field investigation. It is assumed they it is part of the expansion project currently going on at O’hare airport but will be confirmed with further investigation, as always all information obtained during the field investigation will be updated on the UFO Clearinghouse website and shared with the P&M Fortean research team and its investigators. As of right now this is an ongoing investigation and further information will be posted as it becomes available.

I work for the USPS as a truck driver and one of the regular routes I run are to the USPS sorting facility at O’Hare International Airport. I bring loads of mail and packages from other facilities that are then sorted and processed, I usually then pick up loads from there and do the same thing to other facilities all over the state and area. I was bringing a load of mail to the facility on Monday, January 3rd at about 9 P.M. and as always I had gone past the security checkpoint and had pulled into the dock and was getting out of my truck when I saw movement out of the corner of my eye. I looked up and saw what looked like a person who appeared to be crouched down next to a parked truck. My first thought was that someone was taking a leak over by the fence which can get you into a lot of trouble, so I whistled at them to tell them there are restrooms right inside the door. When I whistled, this person turned their head and I saw bright orange eyes looking right back at me. I grew up in the south, not too far from Baton Rouge, Louisiana and there’s been many a nights as a boy that we’ve gone out and shined our flashlights out over the water only to see the eyes of an alligator reflecting the light. Those eyes, that’s what they look like, the eyes of an alligator at night. This sent a shiver down my spine for a could of reasons, it’s Chicago and it’s the middle of winter in Chicago and there are no gators for at damn near 1000 miles. What I saw next though must of made me turn whiter than a ghost because this thing with the glowing orange eyes stood up and must have been 10 inches taller than me, not only that but a few seconds later he unfolded what looked like wings as he had straightened out his arms. This thing looked right at me and it felt like he could read my mind, my very soul which made me believe that this was a demon. It reminded me of the stories my grandmother used to tell me of the “rugaru”. I use to think of those stories as nothing more than fairy tales, use to scare us into minding our elders but here I was staring at something right out of those tales. This thing looked at me for a second or two more and then leapt over the fence behind it and was gone in a few seconds. I must have just stood there frozen in place for at least a minute before I finally started to move, I was left speechless and scared outta my wits. I believe that I’m a reasonable God Fearing man, raised to not harm anyone and to not make up any outrageous tales but I know what I saw that night was flesh and blood and as real as I’m standing here. I had not heard anything about these things being seen around the airport, it was not till I told people at the facility what I had just seen that multiple people had told me that they were seen quite often around th airport and that many of them had seen something or another similar to what I had seen.
The object seen in the two videos were captured by UFO Clearinghouse founder and investigator Manuel Navarette at approximately 9:00-9:30 A.M. in Crestwood, IL. The object appears to fly and then hover traveling from West to East and at times comes to a complete stop and hovers in place for a short amount of time before resuming its West to East trajectory.
The object does not seem to be a large object like a traditional UFO but more closely resembles a flying humanoid much like the ones seen over California in July of 2019 (A link to the sighting is listed below)

Sighting Details:
I was working this weekend on Thursday 12/30/2021 at the American Airlines aircraft hangar at about 11:30 at night,I was outside with about three other individuals. We were in the process of bringing a 777-200 into the hangar to get some maintenance done on one of the engines. This was a routine that we did almost daily on a variety of planes at this particular hangar. As we were hooking up the plane to the tug to move it and communicating with each other when I looked up and saw three large black creatures over by the parking lot, they were about 7 feet tall each and they were just staring right at us. I yelled out to Carlos and he tells Robert and all three of us are looking straight at these things when one of them opens what look like large black wings and shoots off onto the sky followed by the others, all three making a sort of screeching sound as they take off. A few seconds later a security vehicle comes screaming up through the driveway and stops and some white chubby security person runs out with his flashlight and starts checking the area. He’s shortly joined by three other trucks and a couple of supervisors that I recognized from staff meetings. I looked over and Robert is doing the same thing I am doing and recording this on our phones, I know that both of us had to have gotten a glimpse of these creatures right as they took off. One of the supervisors came up to us and told us to stop recording and to put our phones away or she would report us to our supervisors. The area where these things were has to have at least four different cameras, at least two are in plain sight for all to see. After about an hour, we were approached by the same supervisor, our immediate supervisor and three other men and told to go into the break room and remain in there and not talk to anyone. They came in after 10 minutes and said that we were not to talk to anyone in regards to what we saw and that they were requiring us to send them the video we had shot on our phones and then delete the video off of our phones or we would be immediately terminated. When we demanded that we see our union steward first, we were told this was a matter of internal security and that this superseded the authority of the union. We attempted to argue and were then told in a raised voice that we would not be allowed to leave without the deletion of the video in our phones. I did not want to lose my job after 8 years, especially when the benefits and pay were really good so I sent my video to the supervisor’s phone and in front of her and the others deleted the video. We were told that we were to keep this to ourselves and not allowed to speak to anyone or we could lose our jobs. Well, after a lot of consideration, they can kiss my whole black ass and I decided to write to you about what happened. I can not just sit back and get told to keep something a secret just because they want to keep lining their pockets. I called and asked my union steward and he told me he would look into it and get back to me, I’ve yet to hear back from him. These people ain’t playing around, they have checked in on us at least twice and I have also heard from others that have seen the same thing that they were told to stay quiet or risk losing their jobs. So many people have been threatened with being fired if they told their story.What you hear reported are just a small piece of these things.
Investigators Notes: I interviewed the witness and he is an eight year maintenance employee tasked with performing mainly routine maintenance on a variety of planes flown by American Airlines and its various subsidiaries. The witness describes the work as routine and until this encounter, without incident. When asked to describe the entities he saw that night he described them as looking the same, standing at about 7 feet tall, thin in stature and jet black in color with eyes that appeared to be light red in color. The witness says even though it was night, these entities stood out against the background as they were completely black as compared with the rest of the area which was lit up. The witness stated that they were in the process of hooking up a plane to a tug to tow into the hanger for maintenance when he turned to his right and saw the entities standing there next to the chain link fence that separated the tarmac with the parking lot. He stated that they were staring directly at him and his coworkers and that is when he called out to his coworkers who immediately noticed the entities. He said he pulled out his camera and started to record the entities which he claims he got about a minute of video before the entities took flight. The witness stated the middle one took off first followed by the other two. The witness said that security showed up within a few seconds of the entities taking flight and were quickly followed by American Airlines personnel who appeared to be supervisors. These supervisors instructed the witness and his coworkers to immediately stop recording and to return back to work. The witness and his co workers brought the plane into the hangar and were proceeding to do the required maintenance when they were again approached by the supervisors and told to report to the break room and await the supervisors there. They were to talk or engage with anyone else until the supervisors got there. When the supervisors arrived, they were joined by other AA executives and the witness and his co workers were told to not talk about this incident to anyone and that they needed to forward the video they shot to the supervisors and then immediately delete the video from their phones in front of the supervisors and executives. They were told that they would not be allowed to leave the break room until they had done so. When the witness and his co workers asked to speak to their union steward regarding what they were being asked to do, they were told that this superseded the union and there was nothing the union would be able to do to help them and was a matter of “internal security”. The witness reluctantly forward the video and deleted the video out of fear of losing his job, seniority and benefits as did his coworkers .
When they approached the union in regards to this incident, they were told that the union would look into the incident and get back to them. To date the union has not followed up with the witness and has not responded to inquiries about the incident by the witness. The witness told the investigator that the airline has taken a very aggressive stance against witnesses in regards to these sightings and that many witnesses have either been terminated, laid off or reassigned to other workstations in order to keep these sightings under wraps. The witness has stated that they have been warned against speaking about these sightings or they could face disciplinary action up to and including immediate termination. The witness recounted hearing that many of the same employees who were present at the sighting on July 22nd have either been terminated or laid off and that he had heard that many of those let go were done so as an example to others not to talk to anyone about these sightings. UFO Clearinghouse is attempting to reach out to many of those employees to try to talk to them about the incident on July 22nd and we will keep everyone updated as we continue with that investigation. It is the investigators opinion that the witness is being truthful and this incident merits further investigation and will be forwarding this case to our partners at the Phantoms and Monsters Fortean Research Team for follow-up investigation.

I work as a security guard for a local security company and was working at a construction area near O’Hare airport. I was just relaxing in my truck listening to some podcast. It was about 1:00 am and it had been the usual quiet shift. My shifts there are usually pretty quiet, only the occasional homeless person wandering onto the site or horny teenagers looking for a dark, out of the way place to park. I was sitting there with the window open when I saw movement out of the corner of my eye that caught my attention. I got out of the truck and went to walk around and see if anyone might have wandered onto the site. The construction site I was on was used to make asphalt and there’s a large grinder to crush rock down and that is where I was walking towards when I again saw movement near the area where the dump trucks are loaded. I saw a very large, dark figure standing there, dark black but had a pair of large red glowing eyes. It stood at least 7 ½ feet tall and just stood there silently with a large pair of outstretched wings that it slowly flapped open and then shut. I called out to it and then shined my light toward it when the entire area was lit up in a bright whitish blue light. The light was so bright that I could see the equipment and the lot as clear as the middle of the day. When I looked again the figure was gone and a really large boomerang shaped ship was moving away from the site. The edges of the ship had white lights on it and it was only about 60 feet in the air. It got higher as it moved away and then shot into the sky and was gone in a fraction of a second. I won’t lie, I almost shit my pants when I saw this and ran back to my truck where I rolled up the windows and locked the doors. I was scared, very, very scared but stayed on post with the truck turned on and the headlights on till about 5 am when I left. I served two tours of Afghanistan while in the Army and have been in combat before and yet I was shaken to my very core after this incident. I only calmed down when I saw the sky getting lighter as the dawn approached but I’m sure that if it had wanted to hurt me, it would have done it and there’s nothing much I would have done about it. That’s what I saw, I am 150% certain that what I saw was real and not a hallucination, I do not drink and I have never touched a single drug in my entire life, I am not a religious person and don’t believe in things like demons but whatever this was, it was not human and did not belong here. I told my wife about it the next morning and it was her who told me about the things being seen at the airport in the last few years and even showed me this blog on her phone. I’m not sure what I saw but I hope my reporting this to you helps you in finding out what it is.

I was able to speak to the witness and determine the exact location of the sighting, which was a construction site set up as part of the ongoing O’Hare Airport expansion. The construction site is located at the intersection of W. Irving Park Rd. and Taft Ave (photos enclosed along with the report) the location is located approximately 4,025 ft from Resthaven Cemetery (in a straight line or 2.10 miles via the highway). The witness said he was on duty at about 1 a.m. on September 24, 2021 and was there to make sure no one was coming onto the construction site to steal or damage any of the equipment. The witness said he never had anything of this sort happen before, he has seen lights and orbs in the sky but he always assumed they were just airplane lights associated with day to day operation of the airport. When asked if he had heard of the winged humanoid sightings being reported at O’Hare, the witness stated that he had not. When asked for background information, the witness stated that he had been with the security company for a little over a year and had previously retired from active service with the United States Army and had served multiple campaigns in Afghanistan during his tenure in the Army.
When asked about the sighting itself, the witness had stated that he had seen movement and had gone to investigate when he came upon the winged being. The being was standing upright on the ground and he approximated that it was 20 feet from the witness. The being had a pair of black wings that were unfurled and were noticeable due to the background lighting from the surrounding area from buildings and street lamps. When asked if the entity was doing anything, the witness said it was just standing there and looking right at him. The witness described the being as being approximately 7 1/2 feet tall and thinly built with red eyes and had a wingspan of about 10 feet according to the witness. The witness stated that he stood there looking at him for about 3-5 seconds before the area was bathed in a bright white light that lasted for about 1-2 seconds. The witness stated that he could see the immediate area around him as clear as day and associated it with the same kind of brilliant flash seen when a large meteorite or fireball lights up the sky. When the witness looked, the being was gone and about 60 feet above him, the witness saw what he described as a very large triangular shaped craft that had lights along the edge and at the corners slowly moving away from his location. The object kept moving away and gaining height for a few seconds before it shot into the distance and was gone.
When asked if he had experienced any missing time, nausea or disorientation associated with his experience, the witness stated that he did not and that the rest of the night was uneventful other than it frightening him to the point that he kept all the doors locked and the truck turned on till he left right before dawn. The witness stated that he had never seen anything like this in his life and had no explanation as to what had transpired to him. When asked if he went back to work, the witness stated he had the weekend off but had returned to work the following Monday and has had no other incidents happen to him.
It is the opinion of the investigator that the witness has shown no signs of fabricating the story and seems to be genuine with his recounting of the events of the night and warrants further investigation. A field investigation will be conducted and any pictures and information obtained will be posted to the website.
